INGREDIENTS

2-1/2 pounds

Gerber’s Amish Farm Chicken, cut up

4 cups

water

4

medium carrots, cut into 1/2” slices (approximately 2 cups)

4

medium celery stalks

1 tablespoon

salt

1 tablespoon

monosodium glutamate (optional)

1 teaspoon

sugar

1/4 teaspoon

pepper

3

chicken bouillon cubes

2 cups

uncooked thin egg noodles

Directions

Heat Gerber’s Chicken to boiling in 4-quart Dutch oven.

Reduce heat, skim fat if necessary.

Add all other ingredients, except noodles, cover and simmer until chicken is done, about 45 minutes.

Cook noodles as directed on package.

Remove chicken from bones and skin. Cut chicken into 1” pieces.

Add chicken and noodles to broth. Heat until hot, about 5 minutes.
