Corn and soybeans are used to make our specialized, antibiotic free vegetable-based, all natural feed. What’s not in our feed is probably just as important. No antibiotics, no by-products, no hormones or steroids … nothing that doesn’t belong if you do things the right way. That’s why we say that better feed means better taste.

Our chickens are raised in large, spacious houses. They can roam freely and eat and drink as they wish.
Gerber goes to great lengths to raise healthy chickens using improved nutrition, animal husbandry and selective breeding. Our strict standards mean the difference between our chicken and ordinary chicken products.
Trust & Accountability
Gerber’s hatchery & family farms follow strict protocols. These procedures are audited to ensure proper treatment at all times. Our humane standards follow the chickens from farm to plant and throughout processing. We assure that our chickens are handled following humane standards certified by FACTA, an independent, third party humane certification group.

MEET THE “FARM TEAM.”
It takes a team to make “the first chicken that tastes like chicken.” In order to maintain the best possible relationship between Gerber's and our growers, Gerber’s has assembled our “Farm Team”.
The members of Gerber’s Farm Team spend their time on the road visiting and working with Gerber’s 150 family growers. It is their responsibility to oversee procedures that help to ensure all chickens are raised and handled to exact specifications.
